About the Performance

Daring maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs...a kaleidoscope of magnificent movement...powerful precision tumbling, somersaulting, and gymnastics...amazing displays of contortion, flexibility and control...astonishing foot juggling dexterity...incredible balancing feats showcasing tremendous skill and ability...extraordinary exhibitions of agility and grace...high-tech special effects and all the excitement and festive pageantry creating an atmosphere of a Chinese Carnival!! All of this is just a part of the magnificent show offered by THE PEKING ACROBATS® from the People's Republic of China. Featuring their special guests, THE SHANGHAI CIRCUS™, THE PEKING ACROBATS return to North American soil for their 33rd North American Tour in 2023, the Chinese year of the Rabbit, which is an ancient symbol of hope, prosperity and peace, where they will continue to impress audiences with their unique brand of ancient artistry.

The mission of the Friends of the Coronado is to champion the historic Coronado Theatre, a time-honored symbol of civic pride, as a performing arts center and community asset for all to use and share.
